WHAT'S AT RISK?
Getting Overlooked for Scholarships: If you don’t have a strategy to stand out, coaches won’t even know you exist. No strategy, no offers—simple as that.
Picking the Wrong School: Not every college is the right fit. If you don’t do your homework, you could end up somewhere that doesn’t match your goals—wasting time, money, and energy.
Falling Behind the Competition: This game moves fast. If you don’t know the deadlines, don’t know how to make those key connections, you’re already playing catch-up.
I AM KEINAN BRIGGS.
Growing up, I loved sports but knew nothing about the college path. I didn’t take my SATs simply because I didn’t understand how crucial they were. That lack of awareness set me on a longer journey—I spent 3 years in junior college and another 4 years at a university. Looking back, I realize I missed out on countless opportunities and scholarships at every level. I’m grateful for my experiences and the lessons learned along the way, but there’s one thing I can never get back: time.
Be prepared and learn everything you can. These years are critical for your growth and development as a young adult. Don’t let opportunities pass you by. You’re already ahead just by being here, ready to take control of your future.
