Zoe Ghanbari AAU U14 Indoor Shot Put National Champion

Zoe Ghanbari, a standout athlete from WAZA track club and member of the the Leap Squad Virtual Team, secured her place at the top of the podium at the U14 AAU Indoor Track and Field Nationals. The young powerhouse, who came into the meet with the nation-leading mark in the shot put (42'7), defended her ranking with an impressive winning throw of (41'9.50), earning her the title of national champion.
Zoe credited much of her success to the focused training she received with the Leap Squad Virtual Team and the support of her coaches at WAZA track club. “The Leap Squad Virtual Team has really helped me stay focused and be mentally ready for each competition,” she said. This mental readiness has clearly translated into her results, as she continues to push herself further in every event.
Zoe’s commitment to improvement is evident. “She grunts now while shot putting,” said Zoe’s father, highlighting how the athlete’s determination and strength have evolved over time. The hard work during the offseason with Leap Squad Virtual Team training paid off as Zoe not only defended her national shot put title but also set new personal bests in multiple events, including the 400m, 200m, hurdles, long jump, and shot put.
"My goal is to make New Balance Indoor Nationals and then prepare for the outdoor season," said Zoe, looking ahead to what promises to be an exciting and successful year for the young athlete.
Zoe's performance at the AAU Nationals is a testament to the power of focused training, mental preparedness, and hard work. She continues to break barriers and set new personal records, and with the support of the Leap Squad Virtual Team and the WAZA track club, she is well on her way to achieving even more in her track and field career.
