Colorado Springs, CO – LEAP Squad alumni and Class of 2024 graduate Jaelynn Lane made an explosive collegiate debut, setting two remarkable personal bests in her first meet at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs - Mountain Lion Fieldhouse. Competing for Northern Colorado University, Lane leaped to an impressive 18'10" in the long jump (up from her previous best of 18'0") and soared to 39'4" in the triple jump (a significant improvement from 37'1").

Jaelynn credits her development to the solid foundation built during her time with the LEAP Squad, where she showcased immense talent and determination. Reflecting on her journey, Jaelynn shared, “Nike Nationals really prepared me for D1 competition, and LEAP Squad prepared me to become an athlete that could make a D1 offer and believe in myself.”

During her high school career, Jaelynn's defining moment came during CIF Prelims in her junior year, where she displayed potential as a rising star. While she narrowly missed the state meet last year, her determination and experience at Nike Outdoor Nationals sparked a newfound confidence that has now translated to the collegiate stage.

Coach Keinan Briggs and the entire LEAP Squad community are incredibly proud of Jaelynn’s growth and early success. “We are so proud of you and are looking forward to you keeping it up,” said Briggs.

Jaelynn’s performance highlights the value of perseverance and structured training, proving that foundational development with programs like LEAP Squad can help athletes achieve their collegiate dreams.
